Welding: technical excellence for ship and industrial repairs
Welding is a precision craft, a guarantee of safety and a key factor in sustainability.
Located at the heart of Marseille’s maritime and industrial fabric, we offer you our cutting-edge welding expertise, whether in the workshop or on site (on board ships, in dry docks or on industrial sites).
Certified, qualified and monitored welders
ATEC relies on a team of certified welders who are regularly trained and qualified according to international standards. Our operators are skilled in several processes (MIG/MAG (131/136); coated electrode welding (111); TIG (141)).
Each qualification is issued and renewed by accredited bodies such as Bureau Veritas, DNV or Lloyd’s Register, and integrated into our internal quality system.
Our site managers and quality representatives ensure ongoing compliance.

Mastered materials, tailor-made solutions
In naval and industrial welding, the ability to work with a wide variety of materials is essential. We have mastered the specific characteristics of each material and work with:
Carbon steel: hulls, frames, tanks, etc.
- Stainless steel (304L, 316L): for technical, food or chemical fluid circuits.
- Copper-nickel (Cu-Ni 90/10 or 70/30): ideal for networks exposed to seawater.
- Aluminium: used in particular for yacht superstructures, gangways and lightweight components.
- Carbon steel.
Each operation is strictly governed by a Welding Procedure Specification (WPS), Welding Procedure Qualification (WPQ) and Welder Qualification (WQ), adapted to the material and the customer’s requirements.

Quality control and full traceability
The quality of our welds is at the heart of our commitments. For non-destructive testing (NDT), we assist our customers in establishing contact with trusted specialist organisations. This allows us to organise inspections in a fully transparent manner, in consultation with all parties.
Possible inspection techniques include:
- Radiography
- Ultrasound (UT)
- Penetrant testing (PT)
- Magnetic particle testing (MT)
We provide our customers with all the documents necessary for traceability: welding logbook, material certificates, annotated drawings, quality sheets, etc.
